Super Skateboard

Okay, so I've been wanting a skateboard for a while, right. Well, today we went to the store and I bought one. I don't especially like the design on the back, but I am covering it with really cool stickers and it looks awesome. I'm going to show some pictures of it soon and I know you'll love it.

  1. Ahh, skateboards. I have some very fond memories of skateboards.
I guess I was in 7th grade when they first came out with skateboards, that would have been 1964 or 1965. They were painted in one solid color with high-gloss paint, so you had absolutely NO traction. The wheels were fixed so you could roll front or back but a turn was pretty much out of the question. They looked a lot like little ironing boards with wheels. I never owned one but I borrowed it from my friend whenever I could. Talk about FUN, Buddy, that was fun!
I do hope that along with that skateboard you also bought elbow, knee, wrist, head and butt protection :>) BE CAREFUL!
This is one more reason I'm glad you guys homeschool. I won't have to worry about you taking it to school and riding it down the halls, past the principals office, down the stairs and out the double glass doors. Yes, Grama did that... And to tell you the truth, if I had the chance, I'd do it again :>)
"Rose Marie Gilliam, come to the Principal's office...."

  2. Yup, and you can do some pretty neat tricks on it, too! Keep up the great work!
