Poem

Again, can't say I like it for sure, but I figure you guys can give me a second opinion:

A veil encircles our life

Of muted grays and opaque lies

Never letting the light pass through

Never the rising sun, only the setting moon

The stars have burned out

Comets take another route

And all that’s left is this veil

As thin as air

As severe as hail

Poem

Not sure if I like this one or not, but here it is:

Nightmares. Nightmares.

Horrors. Horrors.

Retched beasts that claw through your subconscious.

Leaving you gasping as the sun slowly rises.

Monsters. Monsters.

Shudders. Shudders.

Cold sweat that lingers.

As the fire burns your soul.

Demons. Demons.

Scorching. Scorching.

Your flesh is singed.

Your scars are stinging.

Nightmares. Nightmares.

Horrors. Horrors.

As people pass you by.

Poem

Midnight

The moon; ever so luminous

The stars dot the sky

Like sequins on black silk

The clouds; misting the air

Fogging the senses

Your will; like a cage against you

Either too scared to die

Or too dead to live

Birds; no song escapes their throat

Crickets; their chirp breaking the silence

The sun breaking over the clouds

And suddenly, the world comes to life

Poem

I couldn't figure out if I'd already posted this one yet, but here:

My Glass Domain

Safe and secure, tucked into my bed

The curtains drawn shut; the air still

No one can reach me; no one can hear

All they see is the light passing through

The rabbit hops by; I let it pass

The caterpillar now flies; I stay where I’m at

I keep my mind closed to dreams

And in doing so, I save my head

I look through the pane of glass

That in this world is called a window

Look at the mistakes my former self made

As the red rose vines curl around my heart

And I slowly find myself looking into the world unseen

By the people who don’t believe in dreams

I try not to; but I already have my sight

And I can’t stop seeing, what is always there

Safe and secure, tucked into my bed

The curtains drawn shut; the air still

No one can reach me; no one can hear

All they see is my glass domain

Older Poem, but I never posted it

Blood-Stained Hands

Once remembered, twice forgotten

Who has died, and who has fallen?

You can cry all you want to

But the darkness still surrounds you

Once trusted, twice betrayed

Blood smeared, where they lay

You can show now, where you stand

But that doesn’t hide your blood-stained hands

Poems

There will be an onslaught of poems here shortly. Wait momentarily.

Peace Out~

SKILLET!

So, my birthday's coming up and what did my parents get me?...

Skillet! Last night! Most AWESOME thing ever. They were ROCKING it! They had strobe lights and smoke and fire and rotating pedestals. Jen played drums, while spinning in a circle, while going up and down, while smoke came out of the sides. Awesome. I screamed so loud, I didn't think I would be able to talk today. Me and my friend Emily got to stand RIGHTNEXT to the runway they had coming off of the stage. And John Cooper looked right at me. TWICE.
I'm still bubbling over the amazingness of it. I'll post pics soon.
