My Glass Domain

Safe and secure, tucked into my bed

The curtains drawn shut; the air still

No one can reach me; no one can hear

All they see is the light passing through

The rabbit hops by; I let it pass

The caterpillar now flies; I stay where I’m at

I keep my mind closed to dreams

And in doing so, I save my head

I look through the pane of glass

That in this world is called a window

Look at the mistakes my former self made

As the red rose vines curl around my heart

And I slowly find myself looking into the world unseen

By the people who don’t believe in dreams

I try not to; but I already have my sight

And I can’t stop seeing, what is always there

Hello Again

Hi, I'm, uh, back. *cough, cough* This feels a little awkward. So, let me start with the confession, and you can decide whether or not I'm forgivable:

As you may have noticed...I haven't blogged in a while. I'M SO SORRY! Used to, I was spouting off poetry and random posts every day, now...I feel like I've abandoned you. :(
I know I've said this before, but I'll try really hard this time: I WILL DO BETTER. It is not just a statement, it is a fact.

So...am I forgiven and welcomed back to the blogging world with open arms?

I haven't blogged in over a month, and I feel kinda bad about that.
So, for a recap:
I've gotten together with friends, spent the night at friend's houses, played in snow, frozen my fingers off, stayed inside and out of frigid weather, and...not blogged.
But today is a new day, and I will do better at blogging...eventually.

CHRISTMAS, CHRISTMAS TIME was HERE!

It...snowed. On...Christmas. I'm never gonna forget this year.
Seriously, the last time it snowed in our area on Christmas was in 1963. It's flurried every now and then, but never enough to stick or play with. I don't even think that something so minuscule should be called snow.

Well, here I am to wish everyone a very merry, albeit day-late, Christmas. Yesterday was too chaotic for me to get onto blogger to post anything. But chaotic in a good way, which is just how I like things.

This year, I was blessed in getting an acoustic guitar, another fedora hat (thanks Cody!), a trivial pursuit card game, a stocking full of candies and chocolates, black bed sheets (NO MORE PINK!), a comforter set, pajama pants (I was practically down to only one that fit, and they were a pare of sweat pants that were progressively getting holey-er), some cool shirts, and a bunch of hugs. I also got a 25 dollar gift card to target (thanks Dad!).

Hope your Christmas was as amazing, blessed, and totally freaking AWESOME as mine!
