So, I modeled for an Aveda thing with a friend of mine and I just felt like sharing a pic with you guys ^_^

I had so much fun, and it was seriously awesome. I'm gonna ask my friend before putting her picture on here as well. But anyways, that's all for now.

WIP Poem/Song

Paper lantern, can you carry a message for me?
In a locket tucked inside a basket of thieves
And wrapped around is a cloth I held on to when
I was but a child to comfort me

And we’re all running in circles
And we’re all playing with fire
But who will step in to extinguish the flame
Cause we all need a steady hand to grasp

Daily miscalculations
Lead to daily exaggerations
And when nothing is left
How about we start over again
And never look back

This is just something I've been working on for the past month or so. It's nowhere near complete, but I still felt like posting it. I have this tune in my head of how I would want it to sound as a song, but I think it looks fine as a poem as well. What do you guys think?

Nano Has Come To Steal My Soul Once Again

Yo yo yo, my peeps. It's that time of year again. You've been with me the past two years I've tried to accomplish writing a novel in a month, and felt my triumph and success when I actually did. However, those past two years I had the word count at a measly 50,000 words. I don't even consider that a novel. More like a novella...
Anywho, I decided to up the goal to *drumroll please* 100,000 words. Guys, this is insane trying to accomplish. My brain feels like it's melted. It's now day six and I pulled an all-nighter this past night to get to my 17,000 word goal for yesterday. However, I now need another three thousand and five hundred somethin' words by the end of today to stay on track.
And what am I doing? Procrastinating. By writing something else.
Oh yeah. Genius material over here.

Fingers crossed in a peace sign~

Drawing Day

Okay. So I recently found out about this thing called "Drawing Day". As you can see, I've added a few gadgets on here hinting about it. It's on June 2nd, and basically: It's an entire day dedicated to expressing your inner artist. An entire day to say, "I don't care what other people think of my art. They don't have to like it." A day to forget about T.V., and computers (unless, of course, you're drawing on the computer, because that is perfectly acceptable). Just a day to enjoy life, and all that it gives.

...So yeah, maybe I'm being a little too dramatic, but I don't care. I'm freaking excited about this thing.

SERIOUS QUESTION

So Nano is over, and for the first few months afterward, I don't feel like writing anything. But that time has finally passed. So I have a VERY SERIOUS IMPORTANT QUESTION to ask you all. And I need replies. What story do you think I should start next. Here are your options (some ideas I've been mulling over):

1: Start work on my third book to complete my trilogy before November, because it's going to be like 100,000 words long.

2: Write a book (or maybe draw a manga) where whenever Mario thinks Princess Peach is getting captured, she's really off fighting bad guys. And the reason Mario always defeats Bowser is because Bowser is already bruised and sore from his recent brawl with the princess. Basically, make Princess Peach an awesome ninja assassin instead of a frilly little twit.

3: I've had this idea for a few years. I'm already starting some work on rewriting the script and all of the songs from the original Alice In Wonderland, so that some of my friends and I can do a play, but I have wanted to write a book where the Red Queen convinces Alice to join the dark side, and Alice starts killing everybody.

So, please comment and tell me what you think, and if you have some ideas for a different story you would like me to write. (Also, I might even posts chapters onto here, if any of the ideas turn out good)

Negativity Vs Positivity: How You View The World Matters

For once, I'm actually going to get serious in a post. This is something that has been weighing on my mind a lot, and I just thought I would share.

I know a lot of people. My list of friends and acquaintances has extended in this past year, mostly due to finally finding a church quirky enough for our family.

And of all these people I know, a good majority of them have a negative view on every aspect of life. They complain, and they worry, and they never enjoy what's right in front of them. I'm not saying we can all be happy all of the time. But when you're always unhappy, it gets tedious. Not just for the people around you. It wears on your life, your body, your everything. To put it simply, if your mindset is that everything sucks, everything is going to suck.

So, start thinking more positively. Just because you aren't where you want to be now, doesn't mean you can't get to there. Stop putting yourself, and everyone else down, because all that's doing is keeping you from your happiness. Be encouraging to others. Be a good role model, a good leader. Smile more, laugh more, enjoy life. Wake up every morning amazed that you have another day to make it closer to your dreams. Because eventually, your dreams will come true. And then you find a new dream.

~UPDATE~

So, I'm actually writing some of my book in daylight hours *it's a Christmas miracle*
Right now I have 6,053 words, and I'm still writing, plus I'm gonna write later tonight into the wee hours of the morning *as usual*.
Feeling great :)

So...

So, NaNoWriMo has started, I have 5,225 words from the first two days, and still have to write tonight. Quite happy about this, because the "suggested" word count of three days is 5,000. Woot! I've been staying up until about 4:00 a.m. writing, then sleeping in until 11:30. It's a little tiring, but hey: Gotta write that novel :)

So...Inspiration

I've been having inspirational nights lately. As in, up till 4:00 a.m. writing.
I wrote three songs last night. (Lyrics, that is)
I think those three will be part of an album. For once, more than two of my songs somewhat are talking about the same thing! *YAY*
So, I'm thinking another inspirational night will be happening tonight.
Wish me luck :D

Sequel

So, I've been plotting and planning the sequel to my first novel that I wrote last year for NaNoWriMo. It's a trilogy, and I've had the whole plot figured out since the beginning, but I've just now started sketching out details. Only one other person in the world knows what I've thought of so far, and we both agree: I'm an evil author. A torturing, horrendous author. And she says that everyone will love me for it. XD
I've also decided on the names for all three of the books. I won't tell you them just yet, but the whole trilogy will be named: 'The S.S.S.A.N. Super Secret Special Awesome Ninjas'

Anyway, I'll tell you this much: The first book was all nonsense and humor. The other two books will be angst. And more angst. On top of some angst with pain spiced on top of that.
And yet, I'm still gonna manage some humor. People wonder how I do it all. It's tough. But I guess I'm just awesome like that :)

New poem

Really new. As in, I got out of bed last night with inspiration to write this.

Panting.
Stale, humid air.
No cracks for light.
Or oxygen.
Panting.
Remnants of fabric strewn across.
Dust settling.
Exhaustion.
Panting.
Stomach rumbling.
Tears falling.
Alone.
Silence. I stared down at my body. Light poured into my vision. Going in a million places at once. Searing heat. Pain.
Blinking.
I looked down at myself.
Poked my arm.
Breathed.
I was real.

Skate Day and Cathy's

So, yesterday was our homeschool Skate Day, where a whole lot of homeschoolers go for an awesome time, and then me and some of my friends went to Cathy's (one of said friend's mother) house. It was really fun, I didn't fall yesterday except for wipeout and one time I slid on my knee, and I made it to round six in limbo:)
Here's to another great year of homeschool!

Song of the Week

Sorry to steal this from Miranda, but it's a really cool idea.
So, the song of the week is:

Enjoy!

Another Book Part

Here's a part from the book I've already written, the one about ninjas. It's not too long, because I didn't want to give any spoilers.

“Hyah.” “Take that. And that. And how about some of this?” In the background, you could hear the punching and kicking and heavy breathing. Jared smiled, his whole face lighting up.

“Home,” he breathed. He walked into the changing room to get his gym clothes on.

“Yep. He’s a weird one,” Alecter said, sighing a little.

“Ah, but he is our weird one,” Roza replied. “I think you keep forgetting that part.”

“You know, you are absolutely right,” he said.

“I know. I’m the brains of the operation, remember?”

“Ah, so funny. I’m guessing you’re the comedy of it too?”
